‘Smaller And Smaller Circles’ Finally Hits Theaters December 2017
October 01, 2017
“It’s finally here. Smaller And Smaller Circles is finally coming soon!” TBA Studios head honchos E.A Rocha and Fernando Ortigas excitedly confirm news that the highly anticipated big screen adaptation of F.H. Batacan’s multi-awarded, best selling crime novel is coming to the big screen before the year ends.
The movie is set to open on December 6, 2017.
Fans of the popular book have been eagerly waiting for news of the movie’s release ever since TBA Studios announced the production early last year.
The film is helmed by award-winning filmmaker Raya Martin and features a stellar cast that includes Nonie Buencamino and Sid Lucero as the crime solving Jesuits Father Gus Saenz and Father Jerome Lucero respectively.
Carla Humphries, Bembol Roco, TJ Trinidad, Christopher de Leon, and Ricky Davao complete the star-studded lead.
Smaller And Smaller Circles carries the distinction of being the first Filipino crime fiction. Released as a novella in 2002, the story centers on two priests in search of a serial killer after bodies of young boys are found in the streets of Manila. The gripping urban thriller was re-released in an extended version in 2015 and has since constantly topped leading bookstores’ Best Seller’s List.
While thousands of book fans wait for the film’s local release, international audience and critics will get a chance to see "Smaller And Smaller Circles" during its World Premiere this October at the Busan International Film Festival under the “Window to Asian Cinema” section.
"Smaller And Smaller Circles" is distributed by Columbia Pictures.
